Parenting is one of the greatest responsibilities entrusted to us by Allah. Every parent is their child’s first murabbi, and this seminar will explore how the Qur’an provides timeless guidance for raising children with strong faith, noble character, and resilience.
During the seminar, parents will explore:
- The Qur’anic concept of tarbiyah and what it means for raising children today.
- Practical ways to nurture īmān, Islamic identity, and a love for Allah in the home.
- How to cultivate good character, emotional resilience, and strong family relationships.
- Practical lessons from the Qur’an that can be applied in everyday parenting.
This seminar will be presented by Professor Mohamad Abdalla AM, one of Australia’s leading Islamic scholars and an internationally recognised expert in Islamic education, Qur’anic studies, and parenting. As the Director of the Centre for Islamic Thought and Education (CITE) at the University of South Australia, Professor Abdalla has spent decades researching and teaching the principles of Islamic tarbiyah, equipping parents and educators around the world with practical, faith-based guidance.
A special feature of this seminar is an extended Q&A session, allowing parents to ask Professor Abdalla questions about the real challenges of raising children today and receive practical, Qur’an-based advice.
